Staff Profile

Carole Conroy

CMCIEH, CMIOSH, FHEA (Senior Lecturer Occupational Safety and Health).

Carole is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner and a member of the Research Centre for Urban Change.  She has published in the fields of the scholarship of teaching and learning, the enhancement of employability skills and promotion of well-being and has particular interests in the perception and management of risk. Carole has over 20 years experience in risk management within the private and public sector and has held or currently holds positions of esteem within external organisations such as Chair of Manchester Occupational Health & Safety Group; Member of the Qualifications Working Party, Institution of Occupational Safety and Health; External Academic Expert Panellist for the validation of MSc programmes and external examiner for BSc programmes. Carole is currently working with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service on a Post Incident Research Programme.
