Alumni Profile

Sarah Delaney - Current student and Head of Compliance at Shield Yourself

The best thing about being here is being part of a student community, even if you are a mature student. You will be around people who share similar vocational interests and studying at the University of Salford found me a new job - somebody I met on the course is now my employer.

The best parts of the course are achieving, learning and utilising your newly found knowledge about the impacts of occupational safety and health at a higher level whilst completing a recognised qualification.

You will also develop new skills both in academic terms and in vocational terms and get to share your experiences with people of a similar vocational background.

I would tell new students to never be frightened of asking questions as everybody is here to do the same thing - learn. And keep in touch with the tutors - they are all there to help.
