The full course runs full-time over three years giving you the chance to exit with the following award:
- Masters Nursing: five modules plus a dissertation over three years
Year 1, Semester 1 and 2
Exploring the context of nursing (30 credits)
This provides an introduction to nursing including an understanding of the determinates of health. It includes 13 weeks practice.

Year 1, Semester 3
Understanding the professional practice of nursing (30 credits)
You will develop an understanding of ill health and its impact on individuals and families. It includes 9 weeks of practice.

Year 2, Semester 1 and 2
Implementing nursing practice (30 credits)
This module starts to provide you with an understanding of Nursing interventions and their rationale. It includes 19 weeks practice including a 6 week elective placement.

Evaluating Nursing Practice (30 credits)
In this module you will explore the evidence the evidence underpinning professional and person centred care.

Developing Critical Practice in Nursing (30 credits)
You will focus on the critical application of nursing knowledge and the production of a dissertation.

Applying Critical Practice in Nursing (30 credits)
This module is based on the critical application of nursing theory and knowledge to clinical practice of nursing

These two modules will allow you to focus on the critical understanding and application of knowledge that underpin your chosen branch. It includes 15 weeks practice, a dissertation and clinical viva.
