BA (Hons) Music: Interactive Music and Studio Production

  • International students can apply

Students select one of four study pathways: Popular Music and Recording (PMR), Popular Musicology (PM), Interactive Music and Studio Production (IMSP), and Modular (M). All pathways allow for study flexibility and collaborative opportunities.

The Interactive Music and Studio Production pathway builds upon our established reputation in music technology and begins from level five/second year. The pathway is open to students from the PMR and Modular Pathways, offering a full specialism in music technology. Creative work is underpinned by technical training and study of acoustics. The Recording and Studio Production module enables you to develop confident technical ability underpinned by a thorough academic understanding of idiomatic considerations. Audio for Media trains you in the specific discipline of composing, arranging and producing audio for media. Studio Composition is studied from a range of technical and genre viewpoints; acousmatic music, sonic installations alongside popular remix techniques. The pathway equips you with a technical training suitable for a range of industry engagements.
