Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)
Students with non-traditional and international qualifications, or with advanced language competence gained in other ways than through formal study, are very welcome to apply. We will also consider applicants who gained their A-level qualifications a number of years ago and have accrued relevant work and/or life experience. English Language Requirements
Non-native speakers of English should hold IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.
Applicant profile
We are looking for linguists interested in developing high level communication skills in a modern foreign language and in learning about and experiencing different cultures. If you are interested in learning more about linguistics and/or politics/international relations, this programme is right for you.
Your qualifications should include at least one relevant language to be studied at post A-level (or equivalent) with minimum grade B, or demonstrate language learning ability if you intend to study a language at beginners level.
