The course will be delivered using two three-day intensive blocks. Each module will be completed within six weeks.
Lecture and tutorials serve as the principal teaching method.
Tutorials serve as an opportunity to reflect on the lecture material and generally assist the learning process through discussion and group work.
The dissertation elements offer a further opportunity for you to apply your knowledge and skills in a less structured environment.
Taught modules which are delivered during semester 1 will adopt the conventional pattern of lecture and seminar to instil a learning framework and will use examinations, multiple choice tests and course work for assessing your performance. Modules taught during semester 2 will tend to adopt a more problem-based learning approach to learning and assessment.
Assessment
Formative assessments with feedback will be provided during the two three-day intensive teaching blocks, and through student centred activities which will be presented on the Virtual Learning Environment. This will enable students to develop their knowledge and understanding of materials covered in each module.
