Career Prospects
The course achieves nationally recognised high pass rates and provides a framework for developing experienced and well qualified staff. Former students now occupy senior positions in commerce, public service and industry all over the North West, nationally and internationally. Others have used the knowledge gained to launch their own successful businesses.
On successful completion of the course, you will have a management qualification that complements a professional discipline, creating a significant advantage when applying for management roles in a chosen field or applying for promotion. Previous examples include promotion to executive director in an organisation, and students who have successfully obtained management roles in other companies.
Alumni Profile
Alumni include a senior NHS Manager, a senior manager in GM police, a number of middle managers and supervisors in large private and public sector organisations, and three students who have gone on to form their own businesses.
Industry Links
The course attracts students from the Health Service and other public sector organisations such as the GM Police, and local authorities, and a wide range of private sector organisations including call centres, manufacturing companies and the service industry.
Further Study
On completion, successful students are automatically offered a place on the MSc Management Practice (Master of Science Level 7) and the course also meets the qualification requirements for most Masters programmes.
