PgCert Lower Limb Health, Disease and Rehabilitation

Normally a 2.1 BSc (Hons) in health care related area

Health care practitioners with diploma qualifications and experience of working with people who have lower limb and foot pathology.

Registration with an appropriate professional body such as HPC or GMC

We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.

The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course.

Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).

International students must provide evidence of proficiency in English- IELTS 6.5 band score or a score of TOEFL at 575 or above (232 computer based) with a TWE of 4.0 or above are proof of this.

Health care professionals involved in the assessment of the lower limb including podiatrists, orthotists, physiotherapists, MSK practitioners, nurses and sports rehab practitioners.

Applicant profile

You will have current clinical practice that involves the assessment and management of the lower limb. You will have good organisation skills, a desire to study independently but with direction, and an enthusiasm to develop critical appraisal skills in relation to published literature.
