Leisure and tourism have been combined in this degree to give you the maximum potential in the highly competitive jobs market. Educating responsible managers is a key focus of the course, and sustainability (tourism development in harmony with the environment) is a core theme of all of our tourism courses. This qualification also meets the educational requirement towards a grade of ILAM membership.

Overseas study is available and you can spend up to a year studying at Thompson Rivers University in British Columbia, Canada or studying at one of our partner institutions across Europe, including destinations such as Vichy, France, and Tampere and Helsinki, Finland, all of which offer taught programmes in English.

In addition you can study a language for credit via the University-wide language course and can choose to study Finnish on the Languages For All course, to prepare for an international exchange.
