The course is delivered mainly through workshops and students are assessed in the main by coursework and projects, with some formal examinations.

Staff Profile
All tutors, full and part-time, are highly regarded journalists with print, broadcast or online backgrounds. Course leader, Steve Panter, is a former News Editor of the Manchester Evening News and is a director of the NCTJ. He won 12 awards in his career. Broadcast lecturer Sarah Jones worked for GMTV until 2010. Part-time lecturer Emma Speed works for the BBC Journalism Academy.
