MRes/PgDip/PgCert Journalism

Graduates of this course will be in a position to take up posts in media and communications companies which require employees to possess high level research and project design and delivery skills, accompanied by specialist high level subject knowledge of a chosen aspect of journalism. Graduates of the MRes in Journalism are also ideally placed to go on to further study through undertaking a PhD degree on either a part-time or a full-time basis.

Further Study

The MRes (Journalism) at Salford provides the perfect grounding to undertake a postgraduate degree by research at MPhil (two years full-time) or PhD level (three years full time). This could occur in any field of communications, journalism and media. At Salford, the Communication, Cultural and Media Studies Research Centre and the International Media Research Centre contain a range of internationally leading academics able to supervise research degrees in their broad field.
