Graduates of this course expect to find opportunities within banking and finance organisations extending or developing their Islamic banking capabilities.

This is a new (to the West) emerging banking industry characterised by the necessity to have in depth knowledge of banking coupled with a full understanding of the complexities of banking within the Islamic financial sector.

This course will be appropriate for those interested in a career in financial institutions, management consulting, or government bodies. It offers an excellent opportunity to secure a lucrative and rewarding role in Islamic banking and finance in business, consulting or government. It also provides a preparation for academic research in Islamic banking and finance.  

Graduates will not only be qualified to pursue careers within Islamic financial Institutions and regulatory agencies, but also with multinational investment banks as experts in their fields. Modern employers are willing to pay a premium for graduates with expertise in this growing field, and graduates will stand to significantly increase their earnings.  

Our graduates will join the leading Islamic banking institutions either in the UK or internationally, for example Gulf Countries. There will also be opportunities to join other financial institutions, including consultancy and service providers, insurance firms, and the academic community.
