A pass, ordinary or third class honours level, or equivalent. This programme will accept non cognate degrees.

Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)

Evidence of two or more years with industrial, commercial or business experience and/or professional qualifications will be taken into account, utilising the University's APL/APEL guidelines.

English Language Requirements

IELTS or Equivalent English language requirements:

  • Successful completion of the (Summer) English Study Programme (SESP or ESP) provided by the School of Languages with achievement of B2 Level English
  • A recognised equivalent of the (Summer) English Study Programme with an achievement level of B2 English
  • Achieving IELTS 6.0 with no individual score below 5.5
  • Test results from an approved Secure English Language Test equivalent to B2 Level English
  • TOEFL IBT (Internet Based Test) with elements of Listening 17, Reading 18, Writing 17, Speaking 20
  • Pearson's 51 in all elements

Suitable For

This course is designed to appeal to a broad range of UK, EU and international students whose academic qualifications are not suitable for direct entry to a taught Master's programme. On completion of the course you will be allowed to progress to study a postgraduate course at Salford Business School (except the MBA).

Applicant profile

Applicants are likely to hold a pass, ordinary or third class degree. You may also be from an overseas background, and want to gain experience of the differing methods of assessment and teaching you may not previously have encountered. You will also be keen to continue onto a Masters degree at Salford Business School.
