This course provides you with the opportunity to develop and demonstrate understanding of modern finance theories and skills of practical application to the modern financial world. You will be taught by specialist staff drawn from the fields of accounting, finance, economics and management.  

On completion of this course you will be able to apply extensive knowledge of valuation, investment and financial decision-making, financial risk management and derivatives, financial instruments and markets, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring in both developed markets and emerging markets.  

You will also be equipped with the competent skills to make financial strategic decisions in the day-to-day operations of any organisation. 

Course details

The aim of this course is to provide you with the appropriate advanced level skills and knowledge, which highly competitive corporate sector and finance industries require.  

On completion of the course you will be able to place yourself favourably in either a managerial or consulting role in the corporate sector and finance industries.  

You will be equipped with the advanced level skills and understanding necessary to effectively and efficiently perform tasks relevant to the corporations or organisations involved with the corporate sector.  

You will learn to develop your ability to work effectively in teams and independently; to evaluate critically, think creatively and communicate effectively with respect to issues in different areas of finance from a corporate perspective; and to recognise good practice in the analysis, planning and management of corporate financial strategies and policies.  

You will also develop an advanced level of understanding of research methods and their application to a wide range of corporate financial decision-making.
