Applicants to this course will be required to hold a first or second class LLB or other degree that included a suitable level of commercial law subjects, (e.g GDL, accounting degree, overseas law degree).
International students must provide a recognised English language qualification, please refer to the University's English Language Entry Requirements. To commence on a course with Salford Law School we require a score of IELTS 6.5 band score or equivalent.
Suitable For
Graduates holding an undergraduate law degree, whether from a common law or a civil code country. This course is also open to practitioners within the legal community who wish to gain a deeper understanding of commercial and regulatory law. Accountancy graduates who have studied Business Law may also be considered.
Applicant profile
This course will be particularly attractive to law graduates who wish to develop a specialisation in commercial and regulatory law. Any student wishing to embark on this course of study must be ready to learn, analyse, debate and investigate, to develop their own ideas and opinions. Law involves a great deal of self-directed and independent study and you must have the self discipline and motivation to study independently.
This course is open to practitioners within the legal community who wish to gain a deeper understanding of commercial and regulatory law. It is also expected that some aspiring solicitors will enroll with a view to securing traineeships at corporate law firms.
