DLHE 2009 and 2010Frequent news stories indicate that important systems are being compromised with alarming frequency. Recent (UK) legislation, including the Data Protection Act, the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act, and the BS7799 standard on Information Security Management (now ISO27001) are forcing companies to take information security more seriously.
Information security requires a clear understanding of relevant technological issues and of the social/organisational issues, as well as the relationships between them.
This course covers these concerns by offering modules that cover security technologies, incident response and digital investigations, network security implementations as well as information security from a management perspective.
This course has the support of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) Northern Chapter to ensure the curriculum is relevant to the changing needs of the Information Security industries and professions.
