Can be studied as a stand-alone or as part of MSc Advanced Medical Imaging. This module will explore:
- Principles of image interpretation and report-writing
- Principles of advanced practice
- Applied anatomy, physiology and pathology relevant to the chosen area
- Medico-legal issues, protocols and schemes of work
- Principles of pattern recognition and decision making processes
- Clinical and radiological management of a variety of patients
- Psychology of decision making and pattern recognition
- Please note: This module must be accompanied by successful completion of the 'Radiology Image Interpretation' module for clinical competence assessment.
The postgraduate image interpretation team can offer a wide range of expertise including Skeletal, Mammography, CT, and Nuclear Medicine reporting. We are also supported by enthusiastic Radiologists, Advanced and Consultant Radiographers within the region which enables other specialities to be offered.
