When taken in conjunction with appropriate clinically related modules to build to the PGC or PGD this provides a qualification for Sonography – the art and science of diagnostic medical ultrasound.
Most of our postgraduates return to their work equipped for advanced practitioner status, and a number have gone on to become consultant practitioners.
This module is also invaluable for the Clinical Applications Specialist and for Ultrasound educators.
Industry Links
The radiography directorate has a very successful history of developing advanced practice, and this module has strong links with imaging departments, mostly within the UK National Health Service.
This module is also supported by the North West Medical Physics Department. This means that all your learning will be relevant to current practice and will ultimately benefit your patients through development of your clinical skills and enhanced knowledge.
