Opportunities for employment will be available across the entire spectrum of the finance and accounting sectors. Many new graduates choose to pursue a career with an accountancy firm and qualify as a professional accountant; others complete their professional training in industry or the public sector.
Openings will be available with the major international accountancy firms, UK based accountancy practices, multinational manufacturers and retailers, banks, commerce and government agencies.
Throughout the degree you will be given careers talks by University careers staff and, through links established with national recruitment agencies, you will be made aware of part-time vacation opportunities to facilitate the progression from University to the work place.

Past graduates have gained employment in a range of companies, for example Abbey National, BUPA, Curry's, Deloittes, Ernst and Young, ICL, Dixons, Kelloggs, KPMG, My Travel, ICL, Network Rail, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rolls-Royce Plc, Siemens, Stagecoach, Standard Life.

Excellent relations are maintained between the course team, local employers and national accountancy bodies. Employers and the professional bodies support the course via visiting lectures and by sponsoring course prizes for successful students in the second and third years of the degree.Prizes are offered by accountancy firms, multinational companies such as Rolls-Royce and by several of the professional accountancy bodies. Past speakers have included representatives from Rolls-Royce, Hurst Accountants, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and ACCA.
