MA/PgDip/PgCert Film Screenwriting

  • International students can apply
  • Overseas study available
  • Based at MediaCityUK

This course mainly uses group readings of scripts and feedback sessions as the predominant teaching tool. Every week, students share their writing work and it is discussed with other students and a member of staff. This not only encourages students to reflect on their writing technique and the universal principles of film storytelling but it also enables them to learn to respond positively to constructive criticism. The course uses more traditional lectures and seminars for the modules that address issues of industry practice and textual analysis. As you become a more independent learner, you will also experience one-to-one feedback sessions with your supervisor on your MA Film Project.
