European Baccalaureate Pass in Diploma of at least 60% including at least one science subject
GCSE Applicants will also need to have a minimum grade C pass in English and Mathematics at GCSE O level (or equivalent)

GCE A level double award 240-280 points including a science
BTEC National Diploma 240-280 points DMM including a science
BTEC Higher National Diploma Possible entry to year 3
Foundation Degree Possible entry to year 3
Scottish Highers 240-280 points including appropriate science subjects
Irish Leaving Certificate 240-280 points from Higher Level including a science subject
International Baccalaureate 28 points with at least one science subject from Group 4

Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)

We welcome applications from mature students without formal/traditional entry requirements but with relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.

English Language Requirements

  • IELTS 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any one component
  • TOEFL Paper based – 560, Computer based – 220, Internet based – 83
  • ESOL Skills for Life Level 2/Certificate in Advanced English/Certificate of Proficiency in English

University of Salford English Language Test with an overall score equivalent to IELTS 6.0 (70 – 79)
