| Entry at Level 5 | Students that enter at Level 5 will have a minimum of 120 credits at Level 4 obtained through previous professional study. |
| Professional qualification from outside EU | Applicants who obtained their professional and academic qualifications from outside the EU will be required to provide evidence that the academic qualification has the UK HE equivalence. Applicants will be advised to use recognised organisations eg. NARIC to provide this evidence. |
| Entry at level 6 | 120 credits at Level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5 obtained through previous professional study. OR former University of Salford students who exited their pre registration nursing programmes with 120 credits at level 4 and 120 credits at Level 5 and 60 credits at Level 6 |
Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)
We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.
The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course.
Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
English Language Requirements
For admission to programmes of study at the University an applicant whose native tongue is not English must possess a current qualification deemed acceptable by the University as evidence of proficiency in the English Language. Such a qualification must equate to a minimum average score of 6 or above (and for each component 5 or above) from the Cambridge/British Council English Testing Service (IELTS)
