Alumni Profile

Elizabeth Atherton, BA (Hons) English Literature

I'm able to live at home and commute in every day. Some people said this would mean that I would miss out on university life. However, this hasn't been the case for me at all. It's meant that I've not been so stressed about money as I've no living costs and I've been able to keep my friends at home. Plus, I haven't missed out on any nights out or events that my friends went to who live on campus. The facilities here are good. I've always found my tutors supportive and friendly. I've not needed to, but there's support available if you need some help with your course, or life in general. I'm in my third year now and I can see I've made the right choice in coming to university.
