Accreditation for Prior Experiential Learning (APEL)
We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.
The Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL) process could help you to make your work and life experience count. The APL process can be used for entry onto courses or to give you exemptions from parts of your course.
Two forms of APL may be used for entry: the Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL) or the Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL).
English Language Requirements
The English language requirement for this course is an IELTS average score of 6.5 or above, and for each component, 5.5 or above.
Applicant profile
We are looking for highly motivated students who are genuinely interested in the study of English language and linguistics.
You should be someone who has an active, analytical mind and should be able to demonstrate concise and accurate written English and a good knowledge of grammar. You should be able to work and research independently and have excellent organisational skills.
We also welcome applications from mature students who may not have academic qualifications in related subjects, but may have relevant employment and life experience.
