Clinical Assessment of Injury and Illness in Children - Single module
- Allows practitioners to develop clinical examination skills and knowledge to examine children, including issues specific to children's history taking and presentations of illness
- Provides a transitional module for those practitioners who wish to continue to advanced practice

- The evidence-base used in the care of sick or injured children
- Related anatomy and physiology
- Principles of clinical assessment of the child
- Principles of physiological and psychosocial assessment of children's health needs
- Detection of normal and abnormal variants identified during the child's assessment
- Principles and application of clinical decision-making in practice
- Issues related to autonomous practice and evidence-based practice
- Portfolio development
- Professional practice, guidance , clinical supervision, record keeping and development of a personal development plan
