Suitable For
This course is designed for graduates and applicants looking to enhance or pursue a career change in the heritage, arts or museum sector, or people seeking to further their career within the industry.
We also welcome design graduates or professionals from varied backgrounds who want to follow professional design careers in the heritage sector. This could include spatial and interior designers, technology and interactivity developers, educators, communicators and designers among others. The course’s modules are suitable for those seeking professional and career development.
Applicant profile
Due to the diversity of the arts/museum management/heritage subject area, there is no traditional design portfolio requirement for applicants. While applicants may include those from a design-led background, there are also a significant number from business, marketing and other related disciplines.
Each year, the student cohort typically reflects both domestic and international interest in the subject area.
We are interested in applicants who are highly committed to the world of heritage, management, culture, interpretation, exhibition design and the wider related areas. This is demonstrable through your application statement, accompanying documentation or during interview as appropriate.
