Alumni Profile
Craig Sharpes, graduated in 2009
"My time at Salford has been a happy one. The University is a very friendly place, one which I am sad to leave. During my three years at Salford I have been taught by many professional and knowledgeable lecturers who have helped me immensely to gain success. Studying part-time was good for me as it allowed me to continue working and come over to Salford for the best day of the week. I would certainly tell anybody who asked whether they should go, to go get on with it at Salford."

Students who are on the Multidisciplinary Projects module have been working on some ‘live’ development projects. In 2010, students helped design a new club-house for Salford City FC. In 2011, students are working on the designs for Macclesfield Cricket Club and the Salford Woolpack community pub.
Michael Boakes, current student
"I am currently undertaking the Macclesfield Cricket Club project. I have never been so committed and excited by a module. The fact that we have a chance to create a new facility which will actually be built is an exciting prospect. I believe that the main reason why this module is so engrossing is because it is well structured, yet challenging and relevant to the students. The teaching staff are more than willing to help the students whenever they can. They endeavour to push our abilities as individuals and as a group further, thus, ever improving our design.
I believe that these 'live' projects are beneficial to everyone concerned and that they greatly enhance student learning..."
