If you already have an animation or programming background and you want to develop high level knowledge, skills and understanding of 3D animation production processes and virtual environments’ development, then this course is for you.

You will learn advanced practical production skills and develop an understanding of the workflow and techniques used in this discipline such as character animation, rendering and compositing.

Course details

This course has a mix of technological and production modules ranging from 3D Animation to building interactive environments. The modules cover the skills and understanding required for producing and delivering 3D animation and interactive content as well as using social media for research and dissemination. The production modules encourage creativity, originality and cross-disciplinary work. Through the practical projects and live briefs you will gain experience of working collaboratively and will also have the opportunity to discuss with and present your work to industry professionals.

Course Structure

This course has both full-time and part-time routes over two 12 week semesters (plus the third semester or summer period for your dissertation for MSc students)  

Semester 1 – October to February  

Semester 2- February to June  

Semester 3 – June to September (dissertation period)
