This course can either be taken over one year full-time or three years part-time. This allows for flexibility in study. Each module is available as a stand-alone course in its own right, and will be relevant to a wide range of health professionals including occupational therapists, podiatrists, chiropractors, sports therapists and strength and conditioning coaches.
For the full-time study option:
Year 1, Semester 1
Clinical Diagnostics (30 credits)
This module explores the role of measurement in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of a range of disorders. You will analyse a range of diagnostic tests and measurement tools, that you can apply to your own area of interest in order to direct your own development.

Neuromuscular Function and Dysfunction (30 credits)
An exercise and advanced functional examination module which includes motor control and skill acquisition.

Professional Business Management for Health Professionals (30 credits)
This module will enable you to develop professional business awareness and acumen and implement this in current or future healthcare practice.

Manual Therapy (30 credits)
This module enables you to expand the knowledge and skills required for advanced clinical reasoning in relation to manual therapy in the treatment of patients with musculoskeletal disorders.

Health and Wellbeing (30 credits)
This module covers areas such as exercise for health, public health and how to change health behaviour. You will challenge current practice and develop the skills and knowledge to change practice and implement the health and well-being agenda.

Dissertation Module (60 credits)
The dissertation module gives you the opportunity to undertake an in-depth, evidence based exploration of a key area relevant to your own practice and is needed to graduate with a full Masters.
