Level 7 (30 credits) Advanced Technique in Mammography Practice - Single module

  • Part-time study available
  • NHS Funding and bursaries available

The Radiography Directorate has first class facilities including a sonography suite with several ultrasound machines, a 16 slice CT scanner with a range of tissue-equivalent phantoms and two computerised radiography rooms. We also have high specification digital monitors so that we can link all our imaging facilities with a PACS system to enable real-life image viewing and reporting, and these are of diagnostic quality suitable for our image interpretation courses.

At the University we have kept pace with changing practice by installing a diagnostic mammography workstation for digital image appraisal and interpretation.

A vibrant mammography research programme headed by Professor Peter Hogg ensures teaching is research informed and will enable you to engage in research based discussions which question and debate practice.
