You will be allocated a personal tutor at the University for academic support. Clinical support will be provided by one named clinical supervisor in the tertiary unit and one from the home unit (consultant neonatologist/paediatrician).
You will be taught via lectures, seminars and workshops.
You will get additional support through Blackboard, our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). This will include:
- The delivery of course materials, such as handbooks, lecture handouts, slides and web links which can be accessed easily by on and off campus
- The use of discussion boards that allows discussion between staff, students and others
- Online exchanges between staff, students and others who can be logged into a virtual classroom
- Taking online assessments with automatic marking and feedback facilities.
Assessment
Assessment takes the format of written assignments and dissertation, seminar presentation, viva voce, portfolio development and clinical competence assessments.
