Holder of a Commercial Pilot’s License since 1997, previously employed since 1980 by British Gas, latterly as a Project Engineer, in Distribution Gas Engineering. Prior to this employed by North West Water as a Land Surveyor for 2 years, and  before this as a Design Draughtsman for Allott and Lomax, Civil Engineering Consultants, for 2 years.
