Facilities

Our facilities are widely known for their quality. Many of our courses are delivered within these state-of-the-art facilities allowing you to advance your practical skills in a realistic and modern environment, under the direction of expert practitioners.

Salford City Reds and Sale Sharks make regular use of our Human Performance Lab, one of the best in the country.

Clinical Practice Wards

We have four rooms that are designed to give the look and feel of a hospital environment with patient's beds, lockers, chairs, and sinks and includes audio-visual equipment, internet and a teaching area.

Digital Imaging Suite

We recently invested £500,000 in a new CT scanner, two new x-ray rooms and digital technology to ensure your learning is at the forefront of practice. You will also have access to digital mammography viewers, mobile fluoroscopy and a suite of dedicated ultrasound units.

Human Performance Lab and Strength and Conditioning Suite

Our purpose-built Human Performance Laboratory is one of the best in the country, with an extensive range of biomechanical and physiological equipment and SUCCESS fitness testing. We also have a well-equipped Strength and Conditioning Suite which is used by professional sports club.

Prosthetics and Orthotics Laboratory

The College is home to clinic rooms and a custom-designed workshop. The workshop includes a well-equipped machine room with CADCAM facilities and plaster room.

Psychology Labs

The Psychology Labs contain a wide range of equipment including a Tobii x50 eye tracker, video game analysis laboratory and a dedicated computer suite.

Rehabilitation Flat

The Rehabilitation Flat has a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom with a range of equipment to demonstrate the way in which an occupational therapist may assist a client.

Patient Simulation Lab

Our High-Fidelity Simulation Laboratory is set up like a hospital ward and contains six patient simulators that can mimic everything from the common cold to a major heart condition.

Podiatry Clinic

Our purpose-built Podiatry Clinic is open to the public. We can help with foot problems in children, nail surgery for an ingrowing toe nail, biomechanical issues, foot-related sports injuries and can even modify or create bespoke orthoses.
