Success Stories

NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme (NAAASP)

We train over 100 technicians a year to become accredited AAA Screening Technicians as part of this national contract. Training is CASE accredited and approved by the Society of Radiographers.

"We enjoy an excellent relationship with Programme Leader Jan Dodgeon and her team. Not only are they highly professional, skilled and experienced, they are also very flexible in organising and adapting their course times and locations to suit our needs wherever they can."

Anne Stevenson, Manager of the NHS Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme.

NHS Community Leadership and Management Development Programme

This contract, commissioned by NHS West Alliance, was won in collaboration with Salford Business School.

We delivered leadership and management training to 80 managers across 24 Community Trusts in the North West over six months in 2010 and 2011.

The training developed knowledge and skills and evaluated leadership development against the competencies set out in the NHS Leadership Qualities Framework.

"This course allowed me to study leadership specific to health care practice. As a mature student I have found Salford to be excellent; course content and delivery is ideal for middle managers in the NHS, and all of the staff are supportive, friendly and helpful."

Tracey Spurr, Adult Learning Disability Service Co-ordinator, Bridgewater Community Healthcare NHS Trust
