The University of Salford is supporting Global Entrepreneurship Week 2012 (12-18 November) by helping budding entrepreneurs get their business ideas off the ground with a series of workshops and talks.
University of Salford to work with Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service
The University of Salford has signed a partnership agreement with the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service which, it is hoped, will lead to the development of projects such as, ground breaking virtual reality incident training and the provision of health and well being services for firefighters.
Graduation success
This Summer's graduation ceremony saw the second doctoral award for a Salford Law School candidate. In 2011, Dr Graeme Collinson received his PhD and Dr Rob Cooling followed in his footsteps in July 2012.
Apprentice star to inspire Salford students
Duane Bryan, who appeared on BBC One’s The Apprentice this year, will be keynote speaker at the University of Salford's enterprise induction on Thursday, 27 September, which will showcase the enterprise initiatives available to students, staff and graduates.
Salford project to bring almost 1,000 empty homes back into use
The University of Salford is to work with the Association of Greater Manchester Authorities on a project which will find new ways to trace and communicate with the owners of 930 empty homes across the region.

Salford Business School has become the sixth British business school with Educational Planning and Assessment System (EPAS) accreditation.
