Unlocking Employability 01 March 2017

Employer Stand Cost: £25.00 + VAT 

Each booking is allocated the  following:

  • A 3m x 2m stand space for your display stand/panels. We are unable to provide a panel on the day.  
  • Use of a table and two chairs.  
  • Brief information about your company and vacancies displayed in a handout for all students attending the event.  
  • A listing on the event website with vacancy information and a link to your website.  

Please note: we cannot reserve or guarantee you a parking space. Parking at the University in term time is very limited, and where possible you are encouraged to car share or use public transport to get to the venue. Click here for information on travelling to the University.

Sponsorship

You can sponsor a recruitment event to raise the profile of your organisation with University of Salford staff and students and with other organisations. 

Sponsorship Package £500 + VAT includes:  

  • Premier listing with company logo on event website with vacancy information;  
  • Company logo displayed prominently on the cover of the fair guide and marketing  material (posters, emails, screensavers);  
  • Prominent  stand position in the exhibition hall;  
  • Free room hire for 1 year to conduct interviews and/or deliver presentations;  
  • Targeted emails to students groups e.g. specific courses, degree disciplines.

Funded student and graduate internships

The University of Salford has partnered with Santander to offer internship opportunities to University of Salford students and graduates.

The internships duration will be between 1 and 10 weeks with the intern working on a full-time or part-time basis. Full time positions are based on a 35 hour week.

Funding

Each intern under the Programme shall be paid a minimum of £300 per week based on a 35 hour week.

Santander Universities will contribute up to a maximum of £1,500 (one thousand five hundred pounds). For internships between 1-2 weeks Santander will fund £300 per week. Internships between 3 and 10 weeks will be part-funded by Santander at a rate of £150 per week to a maximum of £1,500, to be matched by the SME. These internships will not be fully funded at any point.

Employer eligibility: SMEs (small or medium sized businesses) employing less than 250 people, with a turnover of £50 million or less. They must be registered and based in the UK. Eligible organisations include companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities.

Start dates and duration: The start-dates can be flexible, but must begin before the end of October 2017.
