The Old Fire Station

The Old Fire Station is situated on The Crescent (A6), Salford, the main road into Manchester and houses a meeting room and three small boardrooms. Built in 1906 the red brick building was the former home of Salford’s Central Fire Station.

Three small boardrooms

Capacity:

Room A = 8 people
Room B = 8 people
Room C = 14 people

Rooms A & B can be joined together giving a capacity of 16 people.
These smaller rooms are suitable for boardrooms or syndicate rooms.

Conservatory

There is a light and airy conservatory at the rear of the building which overlooks Fire Station Square; once used by fire personnel to train and do drills the square is now lined on three sides by red brick terraces (former housing for the fire station personnel).  Catering and beverage services can be provided in the conservatory.

Lady Hale Building

The Lady Hale Building is the University of Salford’s purpose built building for our School of Law, which includes a Law Society approved library, mock courtroom and high-tech lecture theatre.

Main lecture theatre

Capacity: 236 people (seated)

  • Audio visual equipment

  • Chargeable campus car park within close proximity
  • A series of seminar/break out rooms which can be hired in addition to the main lecture theatre or as separate meeting rooms. Seminar rooms seat 25 delegates in a classroom style layout, although they can be arranged to suit your requirements.
  • A network area outside the lecture theatre is ideal for small exhibitions.

Mary Seacole Building, Lecture theatre

The purpose-built Mary Seacole building next to Salford Crescent station houses students of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport, radiography, social work and complementary medicine.

Capacity: 300 people (seated)

  • Audio visual equipment
  • Wireless internet access
  • Chargeable campus car park within close proximity
  • A series of seminar/break out rooms which can be hired in addition to the main lecture theatre or as separate meeting rooms.
  • Refectory in the adjoining Allerton Building can be used for exhibitions and catering out of term time or at evenings and weekends.

Faraday House

Faraday House is located on The Crescent (A6), the main road into Manchester. The building houses a 100 people conference room and three board/meetings rooms.

The Rayleigh Room

Capacity: 100 people (seated)

  • The Rayleigh Room is a large square conference room located on the First Floor.
  • Audio visual equipment
  • Wireless internet access
  • Chargeable campus car park next to the venue
  • A series of seminar/break out rooms which can be hired in addition to the main lecture theatre or as separate meeting rooms.

Bronte, Gaskell and Pankhurst Rooms

Three board/meeting rooms are located on the ground floor of Faraday House.

Capacity: between 12 and 20
