THINKlab

An innovative, contemporary and inspirational environment makes THINKlab an ideal venue for envisioning. Colour, light, sound and technology combine to create atmospheric stylish spaces for stimulating debate, collaboration and innovation.

The THINKlab Suite comprises 4 main areas:

Reception - A bright welcoming reception area with focal light wall in which to greet guests.

Think Pod - A futuristic conference room equipped with projector, screen and video conferencing facilities. Thirty ergonomically designed seats and lecterns for note taking or laptops, with net books provided on request. Fully air conditioned and adjustable mood lighting. (Capacity 30)

Meeting Room - Stylish meeting room with plasma screen for presentations, Smart Board TM and video conferencing facility. Fully air conditioned with adjustable lighting. (Capacity 10)

Social Area - A modern space enhanced by a focal light wall producing a myriad of stunning colour displays and an acoustic system all working together in creating a relaxed area for social interaction and refreshments. Poser tables & chairs and designer sofas, fully air conditioned with stunning panoramic views of the Manchester City Skyline. (Capacity 40)

1. Hire Charges

Full day rate = £30 +VAT per delegate (min. charge of 10 delegates = £300)

Half day rate (less than 4 hours) = £15 +VAT per delegate (min. charge of 10 delegates = £150)

2. 3D Demonstration

We are able to provide a 1 hour demonstration of the Digital Cities platform; an integrated 3D city view utilising datasets and models provided by city stakeholders such as Transport Authority, Environment Agency, Police and Health Authorities, Ordnance Survey etc. Demo’s of other 3D technologies will also be provided.

The fee for this demo is £100 plus vat.

3. Facilitation

We are able to provide facilitation services starting at £1,200 per day plus VAT. To include:

• 0.5 day preparation -- including
• meeting/discussion with the client to fully understand their requirements and agree a format for the event
• 1 day facilitation services
• 0.5 day report writing – including correspondence with the client

4. Technical Development Support

Enabling the application of your datasets to ICT platforms. Provided on a day rate basis of £500 plus vat. After discussing your requirements we will be able to provide an estimated costs for completion of your requirements.

Centre for the Urban Built Environment (CUBE)

CUBE is a uniquely designed complex located on Portland Street (M1 6DW) in Manchester’s city centre within walking distance of Oxford Road and Piccadilly train stations and local hotels. It is the ideal space for exhibitions, conferences and meetings for people who want something different from their events. The versatile spaces can be utilised to suit your exhibition or event ensuring that you have the best experience. CUBE is effortlessly contemporary whilst offering the best of the building’s original features, making it a stylish environment for you and your delegates.

CUBE Complex consists of three spacious Galleries, a Reception Space and a Seminar Suite. It can be hired out in its entirety, as combinations of the Galleries and Seminar Suite or just per space. You can hire CUBE from as little as £320+VAT which includes full use of our AV equipment consisting of a projector and screen, a lectern with PC housed inside, four-speaker sound system and mics.

CUBE Complex

The entire complex is available to hire for exhibitions, conferences and corporate events. Measuring 500sqft over two floors it has perfect through-routes leading around the Galleries and Seminar Suite, making it the perfect venue for large exhibitions and receptions. Its unique contemporary feel provides a perfect space for creative and corporate functions. Our flexibility invites you to use the space as you see fit so you can tailor the Gallery to how you want for your exhibition or event.

CUBE Seminar Suite

Our ever popular Seminar Suite can be used for various events from exhibitions to lectures and workshops. Located on the Lower Ground Floor it has an additional ante-space for serving refreshments and also available is the Reception Room on the Ground Floor which allows delegates to be welcomed before going down to the Suite. The sliding doors can be shut to provide more privacy from the rest of the Gallery while events are on or left open to provide a wandering through-route into the other Galleries. The space comes equipped with quality in-house technology including a PC housed in a lectern, ceiling mounted projector and four speaker-systems to ensure you make the best impression.
Accommodates: 25 Boardroom Style | 100 Theatre Style | 40 Cabaret Style
Price: half day £400+VAT; full day £690+VAT
