Biography

I joined Salford Business School in 2005 as a Lecturer in Management having previously worked for seven years as a part time Lecturer in Organisational Psychology at Manchester Business School. I combined this role with running my own management consultancy where I worked with a wide range of public and private sector clients to deliver organisation development interventions including designing assessment centres & psychometric tests. Before this, I had a senior management career within the NHS and was on the board of a Community & Mental Health Trust. I have also worked in the Pharmaceutical & Engineering industries.

Teaching

My academic interests focus on organisation and leadership development and I teach on both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. I have a particular interest in research methods and teach this to MSc HRM students.

Research Interests

I have conducted a number of research projects, most recently working with NHS organisations to support the development of new skills and competencies.

I am currently pursuing a PhD by published research.
