Biography

Agata Maccarrone-Eaglen has developed her academic career after having worked for 20 years in several business sectors in both Italy and England, including the management of import-export organisations and tourism businesses, where she worked in marketing and sales.

Agata is a senior lecturer in Salford Business School and she is completing her PhD in the field of Consumer Behaviour, focusing on the exploration and recognition of Compulsive Buying Behaviour. Her areas of research interest are the psychology of consumption and cross cultural studies in consumer behaviour, tourism and marketing.

Agata’s academic role includes the responsibility for the international academic exchanges of students with other universities in Europe, USA, Australia and Canada. She has also been involved in international marketing and recruitment for the University of Salford for over 5 years in India. She has also been a visiting lecturer in China, Spain, Czech Republic, France, Italy and Finland.
