Adiós to Margarita

Friday 6 July 2012
Dr Margarita Trejo has spent the past three months at Salford Law School working on research in her specialist area of environmental law, working closely with Julie Adshead.

“My academic visit to the University of Salford gave me the chance to  learn and do research on a different legal system and culture. The visit was also useful to share knowledge and collaborate with other academics in the Law School. This experience has added a lot to me personally and professionally. I´m so grateful to all those who helped me.”

Julie Adshead, Associate Head International at the Law School said of Margarita’s visit: “It has been a great pleasure to have Margarita with us at Salford Law School for the past few months.

“Margarita quickly became part of our small team of academics and support staff and we all learned a good deal from her about how legal education in higher education is conducted in Spain.

“Margarita came to us as a visiting academic for two primary purposes; to engage in legal research and improve her English. I can certainly testify to the fact that she has achieved her goals in these respects.

“We will be sad to see Margarita go but I am sure that she will stay in touch with us. I will certainly be continuing to work with her towards a joint publication on environmental law later this year. Adiós y buen viaje.”

Dr Trejo came to us from from the Comillas University in Madrid, where she has since returned to continue her work.
