Paul Dermody OBE
Paul was appointed chief executive of De Vere Group Plc (formerly The Greenalls Group Plc) in February 2000 and retired in October 2003. He previously held other positions within the group, notably chief executive of the Premier House division and the Premier Lodge budget bedroom brand. He joined the main board of Greenalls in July 1997.
He is a past chairman of the British Hospitality Association council and England’s North West Tourism Skills Network. He is a fellow of The Institute of Hospitality, the British Association of Hotel Accountants, and The Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce. He is also an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and a Companion of Chartered Management Institute (CCMI).
Paul’s current positions include chairman of The National Football Museum, chairman of Hospitality Action Northern Committee, non-executive director of Majestic Wine PLC, non-executive director of Aga Rangemaster Group plc, chairman of Conferma Ltd and board member of Hotel Future.
He was awarded the OBE in the 2003 New Year’s Honours for services to the hospitality industry.
