Biography

In September 1998, I joined the University of Salford as an MSc Student and in 1999 I took part in the Process Protocol project as a PhD student. Since then I have progressed to Research Fellow on the 3D to nD modeling project, and then Lecturer, Senior Lecturer / Programme Director and Reader in the School of the Built Environment.

I have worked on a number of EPSRC funded projects including ‘3D to nD modeling’,’ Process Protocol’, ‘Salford: China research tour’,’ nD game’. I was also one of the academic investigators for EPSRC funded Salford Centre for Research and Innovation. My research interests include product and process modeling, data modeling, building information modeling and computer simulation. I was awarded a UK China Fellowship for Excellence for my collaboration research with leading Chinese research institutions in 2010. In 2012, I was awarded RICS education trust funds to investigate how BIM supports cost estimating practice in UK.

My research works have been widely published. I am the author of 3 books, 9 book chapters, 2 industry reports, 15 journal papers, 3 keynote address conference papers, 30 conference papers, 3 editorial papers.
