Biography

I joined the University of Salford in 2004 as a researcher on the European eContent funded FUNSIEC project, which aimed to evaluate the feasibility of building a unified semantic infrastructure for the European construction sector.

Currently I am a lecturer in the School of the Built Environment. My main duties include teaching and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations.

Teaching

I supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations and I currently teach the following modules:

Undergraduate modules

  • Economics and Management
  • Construction Management

Postgraduate modules

  • Process and Project Systems

Research Interests

My research interests include semantic computing, business process improvement, IT in construction, and virtual organisatons.

Recently, I have conducted research on the use and limitations of ICT in the Construction domain, with a focus on knowledge management. Currently, I am investigating the use of semantics to improve document representation and clustering results.
