PhDs for SURFACE students
Congratulations to full-time PhD students, Hamish MacLennan and Oladimeji Kunle Ojerinola, who have been awarded their doctorates by the University.
Originally from New Zealand, Hamish came to Salford to work on the EPSRC-funded research project, Inclusive Design for Getting Outdoors (I'DGO). He has a lifelong passion for issues surrounding emergency evacuation, and his thesis was on the performance of office workers descending multi-storey buildings in trial evacuations.
Ola, meanwhile, wrote his thesis on the role of the private sector in affordable housing delivery in Nigeria: a case study of the north western city of Birnin Kebbi.
