Joe Kipling paper “one of the most impressive pieces of work" of 2011
An article by Accessibility and Inclusive Design alumnus, Joe Kipling, has been announced as a Highly Commended Award Winner in the Literati Network Awards for Excellence 2012.
Published in the “International Journal of Disaster Resilience in the Built Environment” in 2011 (Volume: 2 Issue: 1), the article was based on research conducted for Joe’s MSc dissertation, with which she graduated from SURFACE in 2008.
Informing SURFACE of the success of the article, entitled Accessing emergency rest centres in UK - Lessons learnt, Emerald Publishing described the paper as “one of the most impressive pieces of work the team has seen throughout 2011”. The Literati Network Awards for Excellence are awarded annually, with nominations put forward by a team of leading academics and professionals.
