Go Far at world’s largest eco-construction event
Prof Judith Phillips, Co-Investigator of the SURFACE-led research project, Go Far, has spoken about the study, and other ageing research, at Ecobuild 2014 in London.
As part of a seminar series on Future Cities, Judith took part in a discussion on Making Cities Fit for Everyone, which addressed how urban environments can be friendly and liveable for people of all ages, abilities and cultural groups. Chaired by Robert Huxford, Director of the Urban Design Group , the discussion also featured Lars Gemzøe of Gehl Architects, Tim Gill of Rethinking Childhood and Inclusive Access Consultant, Debbie Allaire. It is the second year in a row that SURFACE-led research has been discussed at the event, with Rita Newton taking part last year in a session on Design, Architecture & Sustainability.
