Climatise Framework Validation

A workshop was conducted in Putrajaya, Malaysia on 26th January 2016 to validate the CLIMATISE framework with the involvement of academics, practitioners and professional bodies in Malaysia. The Principal Investigator of the project Dr Udayangani Kulatunga, from Centre for Disaster Resilience and Dr. Noralfishah Sulaiman from KANZU Research (Estate + Facilities Management), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia facilitated the workshop. 

The framework identifies the Built Environment specific adaptation and mitigation strategies for climate impacts in Malaysia with particular reference to extreme weather events. The workshop participants commented on the coverage of the strategies addressed by the framework, appropriateness, importance and possible implementation of the strategies to the Malaysian context.

The refined framework will be presented during the dissemination event in Malaysia, which is to be held in May 2016.
