Professorial Lecture Series
The professor and visiting professor lecture series (PVPLS), as an initiative, was launched in 2009. The lecture series provides an opportunity for both professors within the School of the Built Environment and visiting professors to the School to deliver lectures on a host of built environment topics. Professors at the School are highly trained scholars and professionals, and contribute immensely to the life blood of the School. They profess their subject areas in a variety of contexts and making immense contributions to research, teaching and academic enterprise. Visiting Professors are leaders of industry, academia and the third sector. Given the experiences and backgrounds of professors and visiting professors associated with the School of the Built Environment, the lectures series provides an important forum to blend research work and findings with real-live practices and activities in the built environment for the benefit of students, staff at Salford University and the public.
The lectures are for one hour, followed by a 30 minutes questions and answers session.
