Applications for the second ANDROID Doctoral School now open

After the highly successful series of doctoral school activities in 2013, the ANDROID disaster resilience network has announced the second instalment of its doctoral school for 2014.

The doctoral school offers both online and residential options. The online school will take place from 26-27 March 2014 with a residential doctoral school to be held in September 2014, along with the fourth International Conference on Building Resilience.

ANDROID is an academic disaster resilience network that aims to promote cooperation and innovation among European higher education institutions to increase society’s resilience to disasters of both natural and human origin.

The doctoral school is aimed at current doctoral students engaged in research in the broad area of disaster resilience (a bursary scheme is available to students who wish to participate in the Residential Doctoral School). The closing date for applications is Tuesday 18 February 2014. With only a limited number of places available, anyone interested in taking part should apply quickly to avoid disappointment.

Full details of the programme and the online application are available on the ANDROID network website.
